10 year Gift

Went to Walmart late last night as I sometimes do. When I got back, to my shock there was Shane, still up putting his new BBQ grill together at 12:45 AM! If you know Shane he is not one to stay up late especially on a weeknight with work in the morning. So, he got this nice grill as a thank you gift from his company (Charles Schwab) for being there for 10 years now! (Good Job, Love!) My husband loves putting things together and let me tell you, there were about a million peices in this box. It took him about three hours to put it together. Talk about some assembly required!

I do Believe in Fairies!

video

My cousin, Mckenna and her mom Debbie came up to visit for the weekend and spend some time with Patti for her birthday. We had a fun party eating lots of yummy food and chatting. The kids went outside and made a bunch of fairy houses out of logs, sticks and leaves, it was actually pretty creative of them. When they came back inside they started singing about how they believed in Fairies. Funny girls.

Shane's birthday Guy's Night Out

Guess who won?
back row: Dean, Brandon, Anil
front row: Daniel, Dillon, John, Shane, Asher and Chris
You should have seen these guys. I watched each of them walk in the door to the go cart place with this look on thier face, the look of, "Let's do this!" They were so excited to race.
Brandon and Shane talkin smack.

Asher truly looks up to his daddy. Loved watching them race, well he actually hated it cause he wanted to be out there too. Needless to say all the guys had a blast. Happy Birthday Love!

What an "Incredible" day!

Asher's second birthday and he loves the Incredibles so much that what the theme was for his party!
The day started off with some yummy birthday boy pancakes. He was so happy!

When we sang happy birthday to him, it was so cute, cause he knew it was all for him, he was looking all around so proud and thinking he was the man of the day.

All these cute boys. I made some Incredibles shirts for them all and they looked so darling all lined up eating thier cupcakes. From left to right: Eli, Issac, Jackson, Asher, Trevor, and Tristan

Cheeeze! After all the cupcake eating was done. (Or should I say licking the frosting off) It was so funny cause the little guys all looked like they had big guy goatees!

Aji and Aja come for a visit!

My dad's parents came down from Canada to visit his grave and stopped by to say hi. I will always remember my Aja for his four fingered hand. When we were little he used to say that Anil's stuffed animal whale ate it. I looked at that whale differently ever since. Later on when Alisha came to thier house they had a fox pelt on the back of their couch as decoration. Aja told her that it was the fox who bit his finger off. Needless to say she was scared of the fox. I'm curious to see what it will be for Asher when he gets old enough to ask.
My Auntie Baby walking up the stairs with Asher. She thought it was so funny that he was holding on to just her pinky finger.

Asher loved Aja's walking cane.
We love you Aji and Aja, thank you for comming to visit!

More Summer Fun!

Asher loves mowing the lawn with Daddy!
My Aunt Sheri and Uncle Real. We love going to thier property to camp!

Boys

Things that make you go HMMMMMM? Actually it was so funny, Shane was doing head stands? So random.
Boys are so funny. What is Asher doing? Being mischevious? Being cute? Maybe both.

My Ainsley

Beautiful picture of my two daughters! It still strange to think that I have two daughters!
Here she is with her sweet little smile on her blessing day. This is the blessing dress that I wore on the day I was blessed. Alisha also wore it on her blessing day. My mom told me that she thought that My Aji, (dad's mother) made this dress from the material from her wedding sari. The blanket that she is on is made by my grandmother from my moms side. She looks so beautiful and happy.

Me and my girl! You are such a good baby! Love you Ainsley!

Where was I?

Yes, I am asking myself where was I? Well I actually believe it or not was in the same room when the crime took place. My attention was on feeding Ainsley and I guess I should admit, mostly in la la land. Heres to all you moms out there who have ever taken a trip there.

BRACES!

Yep Alisha got braces. Here is her before and after pictures! This is the begining of her journey to straight teeth!

He's OK!

Well after a week of crawling around, and a few Dr. appointments later, our little man is up and walking around. Thank goodness. We were worried about his leg healing, so we took Asher in for check up's and all that. Funny thing is, Shane took Asher with him to our Chiropractor for Shane's appointment and had the Dr. look at him. He did some gentle little adjustment with a tool and Asher came back home walking that day! He limped for a few days and favored that leg, but each day walked with less of a limp. Now he seems to be ok and even running around. We are so glad he is feeling better and back to his little boy self!

Trampolines and Toddlers

Well the picture speaks for itself. Shane has always voiced his opinions about trampolines and so now I know that toddlers and trampolines don't mix. He was on with only one other cousin just a little older than him. I also realize that the little ones just don't have the strength to absorb even a little bounce. From those who saw the tumble it sounded like he landed on his leg just right. We took him in for some x-rays and the conclusion was that he came close to a fracture. Luckily they didn't have to put a cast on for six weeks right at the begining of the nice weather season. Little bones are still somewhat softer than older people and bend more than break. So they put a splint on and said that we need to let him do his regular everyday playing. In a few days he should be up and going like always but for now he is crawling around to get to where he wants to go. Poor guy.

My little beauties just home from church.
Our family Easter day 2009

Happy Easter!

We each have an egg with our names and our baby whether it be a boy or a girl.
It is always fun to color eggs!
Asher having a great time eating a sucker from uncle Taylor. This is the local annual Easter egg hunt put on by the fire fighters. It starts at 10:00 am and ends at 10:01 am. No kidding! Uncle Taylor is a volunteer firefighter and we were happy to run into him there!
Asher happy with the two eggs plus one from Taylor that he got! Having fun in the grass!
Here is Peter Cotton Tail! Hippity Hoppity Easter's on its way!

Happy Birthday Alisha!

Here she is and invited everyone she wanted to! What was I thinking? My sis-in-law Deana said, "There is a reason there are only 8 invitations that come in each pack." Good quote. One thing saved my sanity. My sis-in-law, Heather, came part way through the party and stayed with me to the end. Thanks Heather I was glad to have your company!
Blowing out the candles. She wanted a cheese cake so we made a chocolate marble one just like Edwards marble skin. (Oh yes, by the way, she wanted her own Twilight party)
She turned eleven and acts more like she is sixteen these days, spending more time on her hair, looking in the mirror, listening to music. In this picture, she is still my cute little girl!
Party games, (Alisha's ideas) Pin the tail on the werewolf.

Bobbing for Apples! Happy birthday Baby Doll!

Forks, Washington

Happy Birthday Alisha! We decided to make this her birthday gift. We didn't tell her where we were going and as we got closer she saw a sign that said this way to Forks. Needless to say she freaked out in the car when she realized where we were going.
This is the sign that was on our hotel marquee. I didn't get it until the next day. Do you get it?
This is Bella's truck, it is located at the Chamber of Commerce. You have to go there first and get instructions on where to go with a cool map. The lady in there is so funny. There is also a note in there written by Stephanie Meyers to thank the people of Forks.
This store is called Dazzled by Twillight it was very crowded but well worth going into. In fact, as I was at the register, Dr. Cullen came in and stood right behind me. The lady there welcomed him and he asked where the "donate blood" stickers were. He was some guy dressed as a dr. and I made it a point to look at his tag, which did say, "Dr. Cullen".
This is a drive up hamburger place that has the Bella burger and Edward burger, which Aaron said was made of deer meat! Here is a Picture of Alisha and Salina sitting at the table that is clearly marked, Reserved for Bella and Edward.

More Forks

This is the tribute to Charlie Swan in the Police station. The police officer that we talked to there didn't see the big deal. Funny, and also when we got there, a man outside washing the police cars didn't know who Charlie Swan was, come to find out he was one of the inmates there!
Forks High School.
Me, Anita and Diana in front of the parking spot sign dedicated to Dr. Cullen there at the hospital.
Alisha and Salina in front of the Cullens house. They weren't home but there was a note on the door from Esme saying that they were gone to visit Bella's mother. This is now a bed and breakfast and the house that the director wanted to have in the movie, but somehow it didn't work out.
This is the home of the Swans, as described in the book, a different house was used for the movie. It even has a yellow kitchen just like it says in the first book. It is occupied so we could'nt go in.

La Push

Good old time roasting hotdogs on La Push beach.
Shane and Anil tending the fire and widdleing the sticks for hot dog roasting.
It was a beautiful day on the beach!
The sun is setting on a great day. The sign as you get close to La Push, says, "No Vampires Beyond this Point."
Loving eating the sand, a toddler staple.

More La Push

Here is Alisha up ontop of one of the biggest peices of driftwood there on the beach at La Push. It was amazing and relaxing to sit by the fire and listen to the waves crash along the beach.
Asher and Trevor had a fun time with their shovels and buckets in the sand.
Nani and her new Forks sweatshirt. Too bad she was not feeling well on this trip.
Our family having a great time on the beautiful beach.
Shane took this crazy picture of Aaron just about to be pounded by the waves. We are going to have to blow this one up!

Twilight Party Time!

We usuall have our Conway family name in this frame with a quote from the proclamation but decided to put the Cullen family name in it with a quote from Esme for the party!
Here we all are us funny ladies and our obsession for Twilight! It was such a fun night Playing Twilight Jeporady, The cool vampire scent game that Shalina brought, and a who said it, quotes game.

We had two little Renessme's there, my two neices, this one is Savanah, Anita's one month old. Anita had made her a onsie that had a quote in french that said something like I will love you forever and a blanket that said that she was on Team Jacob. I didn't get a pic of my other niece Eve she was having a hard time that night, probably worrying about the vampires and wolves getting together.

More Party

Here is me 8 months prego and I dressed up as Bella in the fourth book. Anita with her Alice t-shirt, Shalina, was dressed up as Emily, Sam's fiance, the one with her face all scratched up. Her make up was so cool. I am sad that I didn't get a close up picture of it . Then there is Kari, Shalina's niece and Anita's sister in law. Long Jerry Springer story, you'd have to have been there.
Yummy chocolate fountain! Just one of the many desserts that we had. James bite cupcakes, Rosalies dog Kibble made especially for Jacob. And for drinks, we had Shirley temples, red like blood!

Shalina, Kari and Mckenna (Kari's sister) These three were unbelieveable in thier knowledge of all things Twilight. True Twihards I tell ya!
My sis-in-law Anne was the best Bella, the one that is in the parking lot before Edward saved her from the van. Heather's friend Bonnie who came as Victoria in her fur coat. In the front there is Patti and she came as Victoria as well with her wild long hair. Heather my sis-in-law in the back brought her precious little man, Gavin who just came out of the hospital with heart surgery, and Anita my sis is in this shot as well.
A bunch of my sis-in-laws together. Mimi, Beth, Deana, Anne. We all had fun quizing eachother.

Ok what is the deallio with the Conway family?

This is our little nephew Gavin, he is Heather and Tim's and is almost 3 months old. So from what I have gotten from Heather's blog, She went in with Gavin to his well child check up. They heard a murmur in his heart and took more measures in finding out if this was something to be worried about. Luckily, they found that day that there was a valve that needed some surgery and sent them to the Childrens hospital in Seattle that day! He has since had his surgery and is doing fine in recovery. Is this so weird? He even happens to be in the same room as our little neice Mia who recently had a heart transplant. Heather calls this picture Spaggetti ala Gavin kind of like a similar picture of Mia with all those tubes. Please keep Gavin and his family in your thoughts and prayers as his little body goes through this recovery time. You can go to Heather and Tims blog for more info on his condition and recovery and you can also go to John and Mimi's blog for info on how well baby Mia is doing at home with her recovery.

Tears! Joy! Betrayal!

So did anyone watch the Bachelor last night? Whaaaatttttt? How could this happen? I think that Jason, the bachelor, was just messed up from being on the bachelor. He's a good looking guy with a lot going for him. He doesn't need a tv show to help him get a date. Well anyways, what happened was that he got to date a lot of women over a period of time and in the end it came down to Melissa in the picutre, and Molly. He choose Melissa to propose to at the final Rose Ceremony. They looked so happy and in love. They even met up with his 3 yr. old son and jumped into the pool together, fancy clothes and all. Then in the next min, (In tv time, was 3 months later) Jason changed his mind, broke it off with Melissa and decided to see if Molly, his second choice, would take him back. At first Molly seemed confused and disturbed but she took him back with open arms. Hu? I think that she should have asked him some of the harder questions, like, why didn't you pick me in the first place? If I was her, I would have asked to speak to Melissa right away to see what went down. I know that things don't always work out and that the engagement is a time to be together to see if it will be the right thing, but, Man, Jason, could have handled this a lot better! What are your thoughts, all you bachelor fans out there?
